Description
Polycarboxylate Water-Reducing Flake is a new generation of environmentally friendly solid water reducer specially developed by Luke Chemicals for concrete.
Technical Principle
The molecular main chain of the high-performance polycarboxylate ether water reducer adsorbs onto the surface of cement particles, effectively hindering hydration and enhancing flowability retention.
The side chains surround the cement particles, providing a dual effect of steric hindrance and electrostatic repulsion. Completely different from traditional water reducers, high-performance polycarboxylate water reducers offer superior dispersion and water-reducing effects.
Characteristics / Advantages
• High Solid Content: This flake-form polycarboxylate high-performance water reducer has a solid content of 97%. It is completely soluble in water. For use in ready-mixed or precast concrete, please add the flakes to water before use to obtain a solution with a solid content of 20% or 10%.
• Superior Adaptability: Excellent dispersion, strong adaptability to different types of cement, and high water-reducing performance.
• Stability: Good slump retention capability and enhanced cohesion, ensuring no concrete segregation occurs.
• Heat Resistance: Thermal stability reaches up to 50℃.

Uses
• Suitable for various ready-mixed concretes in industrial and civil construction, especially for low-grade commercial concrete.
• Particularly applicable to various national construction projects with high concrete performance requirements, such as water conservancy, maritime, seaports, transportation, and electric power.
• Suitable for specialty concretes such as high-strength, high-durability, and self-compacting concrete.
Application Information
• Recommended Dosage: The suggested dosage is 0.1% to 0.5% of the weight of the cementitious material. The optimal dosage should be determined through mix design trials.
• Testing: Trials must be conducted before use. When used with other admixtures, compatibility tests must be performed.
• Restrictions: This product is strictly prohibited from being mixed with naphthalene sulfonates.
