Description
Crystalline self-healing waterproofing admixture is an additive featuring a crack self-healing function. This product is incorporated into cement mortar or concrete during the mixing process to react with cement hydration products, forming insoluble crystals.
These crystals block water seepage channels, such as capillary pores and micro-cracks, within the hardened mortar or concrete structure, thereby increasing density and significantly improving the crack resistance and impermeability of the concrete. Once micro-cracks appear in the concrete, the active chemical substances within the product migrate to the cracks when stimulated by water, reacting to produce crystals that fill and block the cracks to achieve self-healing.
Uses
This product is widely used in waterproof concrete structures and products for the following engineering fields:
• Tunnels and hydropower stations.
• Reservoirs and dams.
• Water conservancy and transportation engineering.
Characteristics / Advantages
• Workability: Appropriate initial and final setting times with good construction workability.
• Osmotic Crystallization: Active chemical substances react with hydration products to form insoluble crystals, blocking capillary pores and increasing density.
• Crack Repair: Excellent repair performance for micro-cracks, enhancing structural density and impermeability. It can completely repair cracks with a width of 0.3mm or less.
• Durability: Prevents the corrosion of aggressive media (such as chloride ions) and provides excellent waterproofing, anti-seepage, and frost resistance.
• Efficiency: Lower construction costs with a simple application method.

Application Information
• Recommended Dosage: The common dosage is 2.0% to 4.0% of the mass of the cementitious material. The recommended dosage is 3.0%.
• Mix Ratio: Mix ratios should strictly follow design requirements. If other admixtures are required for special projects, they must be tested before use.
Packaging, Storage & Transportation
• Packaging: Available in valve bags, bulk tankers, or small bags in cartons. Packaging weight can be customized.
• Storage: Store in moisture-proof and frost-proof conditions.
• Shelf life: 6 months. If no caking occurs after the expiration date, the product may be used after verification.
Construction Method
• Construction Method: Mixing time should be appropriately extended to ensure the materials are mixed uniformly. Concrete must be stirred densely during pouring, avoiding missed, insufficient, or excessive vibration. Dedicated personnel should manage the addition of the waterproofing agent to ensure the deviation is controlled within 1%.
• Curing: After pouring, moisture curing should begin around 10 hours later. Curing must last at least 7 days and avoid direct sunlight to ensure the waterproofing effect.
• Precaution: Concrete mix design trials must be conducted before use. Mixing time should be extended to ensure full dispersion within the concrete slurry.
Safety Information
• General Safety: The product is mildly irritating, non-radioactive, non-flammable, and non-explosive. It contains no formaldehyde and is environmentally friendly.
• Personal Protection: Non-edible. Avoid long-term skin contact and contact with eyes, mouth, or nose. Personnel adding the material should stand upwind and wear masks and gloves.
• First Aid: In case of skin contact, rinse quickly with running water. If the product enters the eyes or mouth, rinse immediately with clean water and seek medical treatment promptly.
