Description
VF-24 Concrete Anticorrosion Inhibitor is a specialized compound admixture developed to protect concrete from corrosion caused by sulfate and chloride ions. When added to freshly mixed concrete, it adsorbs onto the surface of steel reinforcement, forming a monomolecular chemical protection film. This barrier effectively prevents corrosion induced by chlorides, carbonation, or stray currents, significantly slowing or delaying the corrosive effects of sulfates and chlorides. The result is improved concrete durability and extended service life for structures.
This multifunctional product is primarily designed for use in construction projects in coastal areas, salt lakes, industrial plants, and saline-alkali regions, providing enhanced pumping, corrosion inhibition, freeze-thaw resistance, and overall durability.
USES
-
Widely used in areas with high sulfate content, including coal-bearing strata, sulfide ore layers, gypsum layers, silt layers, saline-alkali regions, salt lakes, and coastal port projects affected by seawater infiltration.
-
Ideal for steel-reinforced concrete that incorporates sea sand or other chloride-containing materials, as well as concrete formulated with low-alkali cement.
-
Suitable for coastal infrastructure such as bridges, culverts, roads, and guardrails that are exposed to de-icing and snow-removal salts during winter.
-
Applied in industrial and civil construction projects situated in environments prone to aggressive corrosive media.
CHARACTERISTICS / ADVANTAGES
-
Protection: Effectively prevents or delays the corrosion of steel reinforcement, helping to extend the lifespan of structures. Under high alkalinity conditions, it forms a dense oxide film on the steel surface, providing active protection.
-
Strength: Enhances both the compressive strength and the overall durability of concrete, contributing to stronger and longer-lasting structures.
-
Dosage: The recommended dosage is 3% to 6% of the weight of the cementitious material, depending on the concrete’s requirements and the form of the admixture.
MAIN TECHNICAL INDICATORS (Dosage: Binder × 5.0%)
| Test Item | Standard Index | Test Result |
|---|---|---|
| Sulfate Resistance Performance | No Corrosion | No Corrosion 16 |
| Corrosion Resistance Performance | No Corrosion | No Corrosion 17 |
| Setting Time Diff. (Initial) | -60min ~ +120min | 30 (+) |
| Setting Time Diff. (Final) | -60min ~ +120min | 25 (+) |
| Compressive Strength Ratio (7d) | ≥ 0.9 | 1.07 |
| Compressive Strength Ratio (28d) | 20.9 | 1.1 |
Conclusion: The performance indicators comply with the requirements of the GB/T31296-2014 standard.
APPLICATION INFORMATION
-
Mixing: The admixture should be evenly stirred into the concrete during mixing. Mixing time can be extended as needed for uniform distribution.
-
Regulations: Use must comply with relevant standards and design requirements. Conduct trial mixes before official use to ensure the correct density. Compatibility tests should be performed when using the product with other admixtures to ensure suitability.
